Kodama Japanese Restaurant
When the owners of the Japanese restaurant in Torre de Rosanes commissioned us to design and build their new premises in Granollers, which they were going to call Kodama, we immersed ourselves in Japanese culture and traditions.
We discovered that the kodamas are spirits that inhabit trees, as well as the Japanese tradition of observing the beauty of flowers, Hanami, which is the period when cherry trees bloom and in which the Japanese flock to parks and gardens to contemplate its flowers (sakura).
That is why we decided to bring this tradition to the West by decorating the restaurant with cherry blossoms and hiding among the small lit Kodamas logs.
